The first step is to speak with one of our Care Experts and we will discuss which option will best suit you and your care needs. If you have a Home Care Package already, we can offer you services and get started today. If not, we will help guide you to getting assessed.

Our friendly Care Experts will arrange the signup documents for you to complete online so you can get your services started as soon as possible.

And you’re ready to get your services started! With Let’s Get Care you have the ability to choose from our huge list of amazing service suppliers or bring your own carers onboard.

FAQs.

We’ve put together a list of frequently asked questions to help guide you through the home care package process. We know it can be confusing, but we hope this helps to explain some of the most commonly confusing topics.

To apply for a Home Care Package, you need to call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 and ask for an assessment. During the initial call you will be asked a series of questions over the phone to determine if you will proceed to the next step in the process where the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) will arrange an in-person assessment.

Home Care Package holders must have a government Approved Home Care Package Provider to administrate  and arrange funds appropriately and to meet ongoing government compliance, on their behalf. This is a government requirement and cannot be done by the individual.

We make switching over to Let’s Get Care super easy. Here’s how you do it:

STEP 1
First thing, you can talk to us over the phone on 1300 279 964 and one of our friendly and experienced Care Experts will discuss your situation with you and help decide if the move is the right decision for you.

If you decide to transfer your package to Let’s Get Care you will need to call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 and ask for your Referral Code to be reactivated. It’s a simple process. We need your referral code in order to access your documents to ensure the sign up is as efficient as possible.

STEP 2
If you decide to make the move to Let’s Get Care, we will organise a time for a sign-up with our team. That’s when we will get the necessary transfer and sign-up documents completed so we can commence your care services and ensure a seamless transition.

STEP 3
Behind the scenes we will speak to your current Provider and schedule the date for transfer of your funds to make sure there is no gap in care services.

It’s as easy as that. We pride ourselves on the ability to assist Home Care Package holders make the switch to a better solution. With us you’re in capable hands.

At Let’s Get Care we have the largest list of service providers in Australia which is growing every day. At Let’s Get Care we don’t lock you into using our own staff at inflated costs, instead we broker our services nationally. This means you have the freedom to choose and find carers right for your situation, local to you.

 

As well as our large list of suppliers from you to choose from, we also allow you to bring your own onboard. You can find carers and support workers to use through your Home Care Package. At Let’s Get Care you aren’t limited in choice and we support you to find the best workers at the best price, to suit your needs. We want you to find the best carers for you.

 

Once you connect with support workers you can chat to ensure they are able to cater to your individual needs, you can then agree to rates, hours and services that work for you both. If you are making the switch, you are also able to keep on carers you had previously, and we will help facilitate that transition.
