Our Support at Home pricing

The Support at Home system offers transparent, capped pricing and quarterly budgets — so you always know where your money is going.

How Support at Home pricing works

The Support at Home Program uses a transparent pricing model to simplify care costs. Budgets are issued quarterly based on your assessed care needs, and every service has a government-set price cap to keep fees consistent across providers. These price limits ensure that providers cannot overcharge and allow tailored care based on your situation. If you’re eligible, your care may be subsidised, with income- or asset-tested contributions applying in some cases.

Support at Home pricing is designed to protect participants with transparency, consistency, and fewer out-of-pocket surprises.

What the government pays vs what you pay

Support at Home is a government-subsidised program, meaning most of your care costs are covered, so long as they fall within your approved budget and care plan. Depending on your income and personal circumstances, you may still need to contribute to your care, but transparent caps help predict your out-of-pocket expenses.

Support at Home service pricing

Support at Home services are grouped into three key categories: Clinical Care, Everyday Living, and Independence Support. Each has a capped hourly rate set by the government, giving you peace of mind that pricing is consistent and predictable across all providers.

All hourly rates listed are based on the Australian Government’s indicative pricing guidance for the Support at Home Program. These are not fixed price caps. Final pricing may vary depending on your chosen provider, service delivery model, and individual care needs.

What happens to unspent funds?

Support at Home budgets allow you to plan care around your changing needs. If you don’t use all of your funds in a given quarter, they can roll over — but they won’t accumulate forever.

No. Support at Home pricing is designed to be fully transparent. Providers must adhere to government-set caps and pricing regulations, and Let’s Get Care never adds surprise costs. You’ll receive a clear plan outlining what’s covered and what (if anything) you must contribute.

Unspent funds roll over each quarter, giving you flexibility. However, they must be used within a specific timeframe and cannot be withdrawn for personal use. If left unused long-term, they may return to the government pool. That’s why we help you plan and prioritise your services carefully.

Some services outside standard hours may incur additional costs, but these must still fall within the government-capped pricing rules. During your care planning, we’ll tell you exactly what to expect and tailor your schedule to meet your needs and budget. You can explore the types of services available under the Support at Home program.

Price caps set by the government limit how much providers can charge for each service, ensuring consistency and preventing overcharging.
